AACT strives to provide teachers of chemistry with the best teaching resources. Most of the Classroom Resource Library is made up of content from great teachers who created and shared their own work. Currently there are over 900 classroom resources available in the library for K-12 teachers of chemistry to use in their classrooms. The library is organized into three grade bands (elementary, middle and high). High school resources that are appropriate for advanced classes, such as AP or IB chemistry, can be found in our AP Collection. A large collection of multimedia resources, including animations, simulations and videos are also available for use. Additionally, select resources are highlighted as part of themed resource collections. All of the available teaching resources are classified in the library by topic, subtopic, as well as resource type. We also have External Teaching Resources from the chemistry community.

Contribute to the Resource Library

Teachers can submit a classroom resource to be considered for publishing in the Classroom Resource Library at any time.

Template: All resource submissions must be formatted to the AACT template. Please review the instructions, and tips in the document to help you complete the template correctly. The AACT Template Video may also be helpful.
Copyright: Review the copyright information, and be sure to follow these guidelines if your resource includes any images, graphics, or photographs.
Submit: Complete the short form, and upload your resource document(s) through the online portal.

AACT is proud to offer content-writing opportunities for teachers to get involved. Fortunately, many talented teachers have participated in various content writing teams in the past, and AACT aims to make these opportunities available regularly to teacher members.

Current Content Writing Opportunities:

Monthly Resource Submission: Each month a theme for a classroom resource will be announced. Teachers can complete a short form describing their idea for a teaching resource (lab, demo, activity, etc.) related to the theme. Submission ideas will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and a select number of resources will be accepted. Any teacher that submits an idea that is accepted will win a $100 Amazon gift card upon completion of the submission process. The theme for March and April is Environmental Chemistry.
